Samson Bvure
Samson Bvure's village does not have electricity. However, electricity is not necesarrily required to professionaly make an mbira in Zimbabwe. Bvure reflects such natural energy in his mbira that its sound reminds one of the transmigration of the soul.
Bvure uses a hammer to shape and refine his keys as if they were swords. Other artists do this with a file, but not Bvure. Even using a hammer, his keys form beautiful straight lines. Very few artists can make mbira so precisely using this method.
